Only four more school days until our winter break, are you excited??
This past week was kind of a difficult one for our class. We spent a lot of time arguing with each other, we did take care of the environment well, and not a lot of work was completed unfortunately. With the break coming up quickly and the accompanying holidays this is to be expected, however I would really appreciate it if you could take a minute to remind your child of the expectations while at school. Most importantly, being respectful to others is essential at all times. We have a lot of fun activities happening this week, including two Celebrations of Life. Monday and Tuesday will be mostly typical work days. On Wednesday afternoon students will choose two classrooms to visit that will be presenting different activities from around the world. This will include all 8 classrooms in the primary wing and should be exciting and full of great learning opportunities. Thursday will be our classroom winter festival day. In the morning we will be decorating gingerbread houses; if you have not yet supplied decorations we are still in need of graham crackers and small candies. We will also be making a small gift for our families during the morning work period. After music and p.e. in the afternoon we will have a small feast of the foods provided by the kids and enjoy each others company before the break. *Two things I would like to share with you that I request you not share with your child yet. On Monday morning our classroom elf will be delivering 22 stockings to our classroom along with many items to stuff the stockings with.
